This Return Policy outlines the cancellation, refund, and rescheduling terms for active recreation programs and adventure packages purchased from Drillingsafe through drillingsafe.ddd. As a provider of experiential outdoor services including the Fjord Kayak Discovery, Nordic Trail Running Pack, Coastal Cycling Adventure, and all guided trail programs, our policies reflect the nature of scheduled group activities where advance planning and resource allocation are essential.

Scope

This policy applies to all paid bookings for Drillingsafe active recreation programs made directly through our website contact form, telephone, or in person at our Laksevågneset 12, 5160 Laksevåg office. It covers individual bookings, group reservations, and corporate wellness outings. Third-party bookings made through external platforms may be subject to separate terms established by the booking intermediary.

Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from Drillingsafe specifying the program name, date, time, meeting location, total price in NOK, and payment status. Inquiry submissions and provisional holds do not constitute confirmed bookings and may be released if payment is not received within the timeframe specified in our communication.

Cancellation by Participant

Single Session Packages

For single-session adventure packages including the Fjord Kayak Discovery and Coastal Cycling Adventure:

• Cancellation more than seven calendar days before the scheduled session: Full refund of all amounts paid.
• Cancellation between three and seven calendar days before the scheduled session: Fifty percent refund of amounts paid.
• Cancellation fewer than three calendar days before the scheduled session: No refund. Rescheduling may be offered subject to availability at our discretion.
• Failure to attend without prior notice (no-show): No refund and no automatic rescheduling entitlement.

Multi Session Packages

For multi-session packages including the Nordic Trail Running Pack spanning four weekly sessions:

• Cancellation before the first session date: Full refund minus a 150 NOK administrative fee.
• Cancellation after the first session but before the second: Refund of fifty percent of the remaining session value calculated proportionally.
• Cancellation after the second session: No refund for remaining sessions. Partial credit toward future programs may be offered at Drillingsafe discretion.

Rescheduling by Participant

Participants may request rescheduling subject to availability:

• First reschedule request made at least forty-eight hours before the original session: Complimentary, subject to available dates within the same season.
• Additional reschedule requests: 200 NOK administrative fee per change.
• Reschedule requests made fewer than forty-eight hours before the session: Treated as a cancellation under the terms above unless exceptional circumstances apply.
• Rescheduled sessions must be completed within the same program season. Cross-season transfers are evaluated case by case.

Cancellation by Drillingsafe

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any active recreation program due to:

• Severe weather conditions including storms, high winds, or dangerous water levels that compromise participant safety.
• Insufficient enrollment below the minimum group size required to run the session economically and safely.
• Unavailability of qualified recreation instructors due to illness or emergency.
• Force majeure events including natural disasters, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

When Drillingsafe cancels a confirmed booking, participants receive a choice of full refund within fourteen business days or complimentary rescheduling to the next available date. We are not liable for ancillary costs such as travel or accommodation arranged independently by participants.

Weather Adjustments

Active recreation programs in Western Norway operate in variable weather. Light rain, overcast conditions, and moderate wind do not automatically result in cancellation. Sessions proceed with modified routes or adjusted activities as determined by the recreation leader. If conditions are deemed unsafe after participants arrive at the meeting point, the session is rescheduled at no charge or refunded in full at the participant choice.

Refund Process

Approved refunds are processed as follows:

• Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the booking.
• Processing occurs within fourteen business days of written refund approval.
• Bank or payment provider processing times may add three to ten additional business days before funds appear in your account.
• Refund confirmation is sent to the email address associated with your booking.

Group and Corporate Bookings

Group bookings of six or more participants and corporate wellness outings are subject to individually negotiated terms provided in the group booking confirmation. Where specific group terms conflict with this general Return Policy, the group booking confirmation takes precedence. Group cancellations require written notice to Drillingsafe at least fourteen calendar days before the scheduled event for a full refund of the group deposit.

Equipment and Products

Equipment provided during active recreation sessions remains the property of Drillingsafe. Participants are responsible for damage caused by negligence or misuse beyond normal wear. Charges for damaged or unreturned equipment are assessed at replacement cost and deducted from any applicable refund. Any physical merchandise sold separately, if introduced in future offerings, will carry its own return terms communicated at the point of sale.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Return Policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (Forbrukerkjøpsloven) or the Right of Cancellation Act (Angrerettloven) where applicable. For services booked at a distance, you may have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal under the Angrerettloven, provided the service has not commenced with your express prior consent. By booking a session scheduled within the withdrawal period and confirming that you wish the service to begin before the withdrawal period expires, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ceases once the service is fully performed.

Disputes and Complaints

We aim to resolve all complaints within fourteen business days. Norwegian consumers may seek guidance from the Norwegian Consumer Authority at forbrukertilsynet.no or use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Policy Changes

Drillingsafe may update this Return Policy periodically. Changes apply to bookings made after the updated policy is published on drillingsafe.ddd. Existing confirmed bookings are governed by the policy in effect at the time of confirmation.
